As an arts educator I have worked with a variety of young learners. I have facilitated workshops with learners as young as 6 years old to post secondary students. I have developed and facilitated workshops for schools in Dufferin Peel Catholic School Board, Peel District School Board, Toronto District School Board, Ottawa- Carlton District School Board, Hamilton- Wentworth District School Board, Branksome Hall, The City of Brampton Performing Arts, Theatre Direct, The Shaw Festival, The Rose Theatre, Suitcase In Point Theatre. I have been a sessional instructor in the Acting Program at Ryerson University (2nd Year Fall Rehearsal Projects), and also offer coaching and audition prep to post secondary students and professional actors.

Breaking Down A Monologue
What is a monologue? Why is a monologue useful? How do I memorize all those lines? How can I make interesting acting choices in my monologue?... In this workshop we will explore how to learn and prepare a monologue for an audition. I will share how I break down a monologue with simple tools that can make the process of learning a monologue less daunting and more exciting!

Shakespeare’s Verse
This workshop is all about getting comfortable with Shakespeare’s verse. Using text from Shakespeare’s plays we will learn how to approach verse structure and rhythm. Through a series of engaging, physical and fun exercises we will demystify the idea that Shakespeare is hard. This workshop will leave students with the tools to find ease and joy in speaking Shakespeare’s text by mastering the rhythm.

A first step, introduction to writing. This workshop is intended to help you exercise your imagination by finding inspiration in the world around us. Participants will emerge from this workshop with helpful writing exercises, and an outline to develop a new story.
